It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Thomas Jawdek, who died peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in his 58th year. Brian was a loving son to the late Thomas and Carole Jawdek, a devoted husband to Wendy for 28 wonderful years, and a proud father to Andrew and Ashley.
Brian was known for his warm spirit and infectious laughter. He cherished his role as a brother to Karen (Glen), brother-in-law to Shawn (Tanya) and uncle to Liam and Myles. Brian brought joy to everyone around him and will be dearly missed by Wendy and Brian’s many cousins, aunts, and uncles . Brian was a passionate outdoorsman, finding solace in fishing and playing baseball. His love for golf was only rivalled by his enthusiasm for wrestling, which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
An amazing cook, Brian took great pleasure watching Guy Fieri on “Triple D” and in grocery shopping, seeking inspiration for his next culinary creation. His "Dad" shirts were a testament to his sense of humour, and he wore them with love. A loyal fan, he continued to cheer for the Leafs, even when they let him down.
Brian will be dearly missed by his family, friends and colleagues, including his furry companion, Shadow.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 8, between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, with a service Celebrating his life on Sunday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, or a charity close to your heart. We welcome you to engage in your favourite pastime in his honour.
