Kevin Webb Kamminga was born to Webb and Coby Kamminga on December 13th, 1971. Alongside his siblings, Jon and Anne Marie Kamminga and Aimee and Leigh Adams, Kevin grew up in a loving, loyal, and boisterous family. After meeting the love of his life and his best friend, Andrea Kamminga, Kevin was embraced by his in-laws, Diane and John Leferink, and their children, Danielle and John ("J.R.") Rinsma, Al and Carlie Leferink, and Tammy ("Sham") and Joel Vink. To his many nieces and nephews, Kevin was simply "Uncle Chev", a name that perfectly encapsulated his playful spirit and love of pick-up trucks.
As someone with a big heart for children, Kevin wanted nothing more in his life than to be a dad. Kevin went on to become a proud father to his children: Georgia and Luke Vuyk, Olivia Kamminga and Adam Cook, and Warren and Jamie Kamminga. In the later years of his life, he cherished his role as "Opa" to his three grandsons: Thomas Vuyk, Joseph Vuyk, and Kalvin Kamminga.
Kevin had a youthful spark and was a kid at heart - he delighted in making others laugh, participating in his many hobbies, and giving back to his community. He leaves behind not just a family, but also a warm and loving church community at Bethel CRC, and a town that admired him for his kindness, honesty, and his many, many words.
Kevin peacefully went home to his Heavenly Father on November 13th, 2024 after a twelve-year long journey with cancer. He found great courage and resiliency in his faith, trusting in God above all else.
Kevin was many things in life - a husband, a father, an uncle, an Opa, and a friend to many. Kevin was a fixture in his community, one that everyone was better off having known. He was one-of-a-kind and will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing him.
