Jean Morin, daughter to John and Nancy Taylor, died as she lived – on her own terms. Jean passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023 in Georgetown, Ontario, at the age of 87 years. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Jean was a pillar of strength and kindness to all who knew her.
Sister to Joan, Jerry, Jackie, Judy, and the late John, Jean cultivated a life defined by love, compassion, and devotion. Her marriage of 67 years to Denis was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and unwavering support.
As a mother to Terry (Karen), David, Susan (Tony), Denis, and lovingly remembered alongside the late Lance (Donna), Jean embodied the essence of maternal care, guiding her children with wisdom and tenderness.
Jean found boundless joy in being Nanny to 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and warmth filled their lives with endless love and laughter, creating treasured moments that will be cherished for generations to come.
Her passion for bingo and knitting was not only a hobby but a reflection of her creative spirit and zest for life. Through every stitch and every winning moment, she shared her joy with those around her.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Extendicare for their compassionate care and support during Jean's time there.
In her honor, the family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating Jean's remarkable life on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in the Trafalgar Room, Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
