1942-2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) Edward Saulnier, at his home in Georgetown, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in his 83rd year.
Born in Weymouth, Nova Scotia, Bob moved to Ontario in the late 1960s to raise his family while pursuing his career as an Auto Mechanic. Later in his career, he worked as a Building Maintenance Technician for the Ministry of Transportation (MTO). Bob was well-liked and respected by his colleagues and the many friends he made throughout his life. He had a passion for “tinkering” with gadgets, enjoyed collecting coins, and cherished mementos of personal significance.
Bob was the beloved Father of Deborah (Tim) Kilby, Sandra Baker, and Stephen Saulnier (Julia Ford). He was a cherished Grandfather to Robbie (Jenny), Michael (Corrine), Kristopher (Taylor), Brandon (Brittany), Amanda, Danny (Annie), Emily, and a proud Great-Grandfather to Gracelynn.
Bob will be deeply missed by his siblings Jarvis (Gloria), Harold (Rose), Wilfred (Ethel), Carol (Gary), Claudine (the late Frank), and Raymond. He was predeceased by his parents, Jarvis and Rosalind Saulnier, as well as his sister Patsy and his brothers Frederick, Ronald, and Irving.
A celebration of Bob's life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 120, in Georgetown, ON, on Saturday February 1, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00pm in the Lounge.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion in his memory.
