A Georgetown resident is facing weapon and drug charges following a recent threatening incident in Mississauga.
On March 14, Peel Regional Police officers say they responded to reports of a threat in Mississauga, where it was believed someone had brandished a firearm.
On March 20, officers - with the assistance of Peel Regional Police tactical unit - executed a search warrant for a vehicle and residence in Georgetown.
Police say the search turned up a quantity of illicit drugs, prohibited weapons and a replica firearm/BB gun.
In addition, the suspect was found breaching multiple conditions of a previous release, along with a weapons prohibition order, according to police.
Zenon Squire, 30, of Georgetown, was arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing.
He has been charged with:
- Point firearm
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Utter threats
- Fail to comply with release order
- Breach of weapons prohibition
- Possession of a prohibited weapon.
