Georgetown traffic stop nets charges for impaired, drug trafficking

A Brampton man is facing drug possession and trafficking charges in addition to impaired driving after being stopped by Halton Police in Georgetown Sunday evening. 

Police say officers responded to a citizen complaint in the area of Guelph Street and Sinclair Avenue around 5 p.m.

Police conducted a traffic stop and as a result of its investigation, a 34-year-old Brampton resident was charged with operation while impaired, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl).
