Glass doors smashed with rocks, cash stolen from Acton businesses

Police believe the incidents are related

Halton Regional Police are investigating break-ins at two Acton businesses.

Police say between 5 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 21) and 7 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 22), someone threw a rock through the front glass door of Acton Cleaners on Queen Street in Acton. A small amount of cash was taken from the register. 

The same night, a similar incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday. Again, police say someone threw a rock through the front door glass of Joe’s Great Pizza on Mill Street East, entered the business and took a small amount of cash from the register. 

No suspect descriptions are currently available in either break-in and no arrests have been made. The investigations are ongoing and the two incidents are believed to be related.
