Two Hamilton men are facing a multitude of charges following an early-morning police pursuit involving two allegedly stolen vehicles.

Halton Police say around 3:20 a.m. this morning (Aug. 27), an officer observed two suspicious older model pick-up trucks on Trafalgar Road and 10 Sideroad in Halton Hills headed south at high rates of speed, both being driven in a dangerous manner.

The trucks failed to stop for police, so a tire deflation device (spike belt) was successfully deployed on both vehicles with the assistance of OPP. One of the pick-up trucks stopped on the 401 in Milton.

After a short K9 track, the driver was taken into custody. The second truck came to a stop at the 401 Onroute located east of Cambridge. This driver was also taken into custody.
