A damaged traffic light pole with missing bolts left authorities with more questions than answers over the weekend in southern Halton Hills.

Police were called to the intersection of Ninth Line and Steeles Avenue for a traffic complaint around 11 p.m. Saturday.

When police arrived, they found the traffic light pole was leaning over and the light had fallen.

According to police, it appeared the screws or bolts had been broken or removed from the base of the pole. There was no evidence of a collision and it's unknown what caused the damage.
