All westbound trains will be ending service in Georgetown while an investigation is conducted in Guelph, where a person was struck by a train.

Traffic on the GO line through Halton Hills is being impacted tonight after a person was struck by a train in Guelph.

As a result, GO Transit says all train traffic along the Kitchener line will be starting and ending at the Georgetown GO Station until further notice.

According to the public transit service, the person was struck east of the Guelph Central GO Station.

"As there will be limited GO bus service from Georgetown GO to Acton GO, Guelph Central GO, and Kitchener GO, you may want to consider alternate travel arrangements," GO Transit said in an online update. "Trains cannot move through the area until a full investigation is completed."
