For those of you who I have not yet met, I’m hoping to take a moment of your time to formally introduce myself: I am Joseph Racinsky, your new Ontario PC candidate and I am running to be your next Member of Provincial Parliament.
My family has called Halton Hills home since 1968 and my family’s story is similar to many of you who call Wellington-Halton Hills home. I believe it is important to be active and engaged with your community, so I have been an involved member of my local church for many years, and have served in the children, youth, and seniors ministries.
I am also a lifelong conservative, proudly serving on our local PC riding association. Earning the support and nomination to be the Ontario PC candidate has been a great honour. I am humbled to have the unanimous support of the local PC riding association. Following in the tremendous footprints of PC MPP and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Ted Arnott, will not be easy, but I intend to work to build on the standard he has set for this office. I want to thank Ted for his incredible years in servitude to our community.
In 2023, I married an incredible woman from the Town of Erin. I am proud to say that - she is, and always will be, my number one supporter.
After graduating from high school and completing my post secondary education, I went straight to work, serving the people and the community we all call home.
I am currently the Town Councillor for rural Halton Hills, making me the youngest councillor to ever be elected in the history of the town. During my time on council, I have successfully led the effort to recognize the 50th anniversary of the Town of Halton Hills and the creation of an agricultural round table at the Town. I also serve on the Town’s site alteration committee. I am an active member of the Halton Hills heritage committee and organized the 2024 Door’s Open Culture Day’s event throughout Halton Hills. I am also the Secretary to the Georgetown Agricultural Society and sit as a board member for the Community Foundation of Halton North.
I want you to know, that as Councillor, I have fought hard for taxpayers, championing our heritage, and stood up for the rights and freedoms of my constituents.
“As a colleague at town Council, I appreciate that Joseph is diligent to learn about each topic and issue ahead of deliberations and the Council vote. This work ethic will serve him well as MPP for Wellington-Halton Hills,” Ron Norris, Councillor Ward 3 Town of Halton Hills.
“I want Joseph Racinsky to represent me. During his tenure as our councillor, he has proven to be very accessible and responsive. These should be table stakes for anyone in public service but beyond that, he has demonstrated clearly that he has empathy, a common-sense intelligence and the tenacity to fight the good fight through multiple issues which have come before Halton Hills Council. With deep roots in our riding, he understands and is supportive of matters that are important to his constituents. I feel that with Joseph Racinsky as our MPP, I will have a strong and truly representative voice at Queen’s Park,” John Webster, Halton Hills Resident 6th Line.
As an active member of Town Council, I have held to the belief that the best way to engage with my constituents is at your doorstep. I love speaking with you directly, listening to your questions and ideas. I have done so throughout this campaign, and will continue to do so as your next Member of Provincial Parliament at Queen’s Park.
During my nomination, I spoke with hundreds of you, and as your Ontario PC candidate, I have knocked on thousands of doors since this campaign began. It’s important to listen to everyone’s voice, especially those that often don’t get heard. We may not always agree, but I am as committed as ever to putting in the work to listen to you, directly.
That’s why I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to speak with me, whether it’s at your door, in our community or over the phone or email. Your dedication and passion for our community inspires me, it is the driving force of my campaign to protect Wellington-Halton Hills against an uncertain future.
Myself, and the PC party of Ontario, will do just that: protect our jobs, protect our economy, protect our community, and above all, stand up to President Trump’s tariffs and protect Ontario.
On February 27th I ask you to vote for the person that will best represent you and your values. I ask you to vote for Joseph Racinsky.
