Are you looking for your fur-ever friend? The Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS) and PetSmart Georgetown are partnering up to make sure you find one!
“The UCHS is bringing adoptable pets to PetSmart Georgetown for PetSmart Charities of Canada National Adoption Week, taking place March 24 – 30, 2025!” explained UCHS spokesperson, Brianna D'Alessandro.
She continued, “There will be an extra-special adoption event taking place March 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. UCHS aims to find homes for at least eight animals during this fun, family event! Stop by to learn more about the important work UCHS does, pick up some pet-related swag, and try your luck at our raffle. All proceeds go towards the care of the animals at the Shelter!”
Pets are family and owning a pet has been shown to bring hope, companionship, and unconditional love to people. Local shelters are full to bursting with pets just waiting to be adopted.
The partnership between PetSmart and UCHS is an excellent opportunity to bring adoptable pets to the forefront of community member’s lives and hopefully make a difference for the animals, the Shelter, and the community.
D'Alessandro said, “We are a proud recipient of a $10,000 grant from PetSmart Charities. PetSmart’s support means greater exposure for these amazing pets and hopefully finds them fur-ever homes. We serve such a wide region including Erin, Wellington County, Halton Hills, and beyond, and we’re thrilled for this opportunity to help the community find their new family members.”
Come out to the special adoption week and event at PetSmart Georgetown and meet lovely adoptable companionable cats such as Monte, Galadriel, or Crumpet.
Or perhaps you are looking for a dog to walk and exercise with, such as Alicia. There will be lots of pets to choose from and fall in love with.
“We hope everyone will come out on March 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to meet these wonderful, adoptable pets,” said D’Alessandro. “We know you will love them as much as we do. Come out to PetSmart Georgetown to meet your new, fur-ever friend!”
