With a drastic weather forecast rolling into the region, Conservation Halton is closing its parks today (Feb. 28).
The conservation authority announced the closure on social media Tuesday afternoon.
With extremely strong winds in the weather forecast at our parks over the next 24 hours we have made the decision to temporarily close ALL parks on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Parks will remain closed until trail inspections have been completed. pic.twitter.com/RQjCr2AXMZ

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, as winds up to 70 km/h are expected, along with a huge shift in temperature. The agency said Wednesday will see a high of 12 degrees and a low of minus 11 with the windchill by the evening.
