The Halton Hills Public Library (HHPL) invites residents to explore the opportunities available with a Halton Hills Public Library membership through a new library card campaign, running throughout the month of October in celebration of Canadian Library Month. This year’s theme "Unlock Curiosity: One Card. Endless Opportunities" invites families to discover how HHPL can enrich the lives of children and youth in Halton Hills.

Amazing for busy families with children, a library membership offers kid-friendly activities, including programming in both English and French; support for young readers; free, online tutoring and homework help; and welcoming, family-friendly spaces — all with the added benefit of fine-free borrowing for anyone 24 years of age and under, and 65 years of age and up.

Teens can explore HHPL’s collections of books, video games, music, movies, and more without the worry of late fines. The library also offers spaces for relaxation, collaboration, and creative expression, where teens can try out the latest tech, book study rooms with friends, and get creative in the makerspace.

“We are thrilled to launch this campaign and remind our community of the endless opportunities available with a library card,” says Beverley King, Chief Librarian and CEO. “Whether you’re looking for learning support, a creative outlet, or simply a place to unwind, the library has something for everyone. We encourage you to unlock your curiosity!”

Residents can stop by either branch to sign up for a library card and start enjoying all there is to borrow, explore, and do at the library. For information, click here.
