As Christmas draws near, local residents are looking forward to the company of friends and family over a holiday feast.
But some in town may have no place to go. The Acton and Glen Williams communities are welcoming those to park themselves at a table to meet others over a hearty meal.
On Christmas Day, volunteers at the Acton Town Hall Centre and St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church in the Glen will be doling out the food for all to enjoy.
Attendees can look forward to all of their holiday favourites, including turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.
The dinners will take place on Dec. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Acton and 12:30 to 3 p.m. in Glen Williams.
Anyone who needs transportation to and from the venues can call 647-381-9721 for the Acton Town Hall Centre and 905-877-8323 for St. Alban's.
The events are free, so celebrants need only bring their appetites.
Guests wanting to be part of the Glen Williams dinner should call St. Alban’s Church to make a reservation before Dec. 23.
Those planning to attend the Acton dinner can RSVP here or simply show up.
