GALLERY: Pups strut their stuff in Howloween costume contest

Dozens of dogs showed up in costume at Prospect Park over the weekend to help their humans raise money for leash-free park improvements

Acton’s dogs walked their humans to Prospect Park on Saturday for some spooky fun in support of a good cause.

Leash-Free Halton Hills hosted a Howloween event at the local venue to raise funds for park improvements. Festivities included a dog costume contest and photo opportunities.

Residents can provide their input on the contestants via social media.

“We’re going to put all the pictures of our dogs up on Facebook for the community to vote [on] and we will announce [the winner] on Halloween,” said Jocelyn Dawn of Leash-Free Halton Hills.

The photos are available for viewing and voting on here.

Along with the leash-free area at Prospect Park in Acton, the municipality has two others in Georgetown at Cedarvale Park and Trafalgar Sports Park.
