Judy Faulhafer won $100,000 playing Encore.

A Georgetown resident is $100,000 richer after an early-September OLG win.

Judith (Judy) Faulhafer has been a regular lottery player for over 25 years and said she normally never adds Encore to her Lotto Max tickets.

"This ticket was a birthday gift from my friends,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

“I called my one friend who gave me the ticket and they thought something was wrong because I was crying. When I told them, they started to cry too. It was a special moment to share with my friends.”

Faulhafer said the money will "go a long way for my financial freedom."

The local mother and grandmother plans to use the winnings to pay bills and treat her friends to a nice dinner as a thank you.
