Line Dancing
Feb. 21 starting at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Learn how to line dance with the Urban Cowboy at the local Legion from 7 to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), followed by open line dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $15 (cash only) and are available at the door.
CFUW Georgetown’s Candidate Meet and Greet
Feb. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hillsview Active Living Centre, 318 Guelph St., Georgetown: Local residents will have an opportunity to meet the Wellington-Halton Hills provincial candidates who choose to attend, and each will have time to give a speech outlining their platform.

Family Storytime
Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. This drop-in program is designed for children up to age six and their caregivers.
African Voyages with Njacko Backo
Feb. 22 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown branch: Join Juno-nominated musician Njacko Backo as he presents African Voyages. In this interactive performance, learn about the important role that music, dance, and storytelling play in everyday life in Cameroon, Central Africa. Experience traditional dance and drumming and listen to a traditional story. Presented in association with Prologue Performing Arts.
Coldest Night of the Year
Feb. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Georgetown and Acton: The Georgetown Coldest Night of the Year walk - beginning and ending at Norval United Church - will once again benefit the Georgetown Bread Basket and Links2Care.
Meanwhile, the new Acton edition of the event will support the Roxy Centre. It will begin and end at the parkette at the corner of Mill and Main streets.
Participants can check in beginning at 4 p.m. and the walk will start at 5 p.m. A light meal will be served at 6 p.m. Registration is still open for the Georgetown and Acton events.
Ignite the Night
Feb. 22 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Terra Cotta Conservation Area: Experience the beauty of the forest after dark along a two-kilometre illuminated trail. Ski, snowshoe and kicksled rentals are available on site, as conditions permit, along with ice skating opportunities. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own equipment. Hot drinks and snacks are available at the park store.

Fire Pit Pop-up
Feb. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Meadowglen Park: Join the Town's Hey Neighbour team for a hot chocolate treat then sit back and enjoy the warmth of a fireside seat in the park, located at 29 Meadowglen Blvd., Georgetown.
Free Family Skating
Feb. 23 starting at 3 p.m. at the Acton Arena: The Churches of Acton invite the community to a free family skate from 3 to 4:20 p.m. There will also be complimentary hot chocolate and cookies in the community room from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Non-perishable food donations will be collected.
