ALL WEEKEND

Upper Credit Humane Society Book, Puzzle and Game Sale

Feb. 3 to 5 at Georgetown Marketplace: It’s time to support the animals while restocking your bookshelf. Books, puzzles and games will be for sale on Feb. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m., Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the mall, across from Mark's Work Wearhouse. Proceeds to benefit the humane society’s relocation fund.

Ignite the Night

Feb. 3 (5:30 to 8 p.m.)  and 4 (5:30 to 9 p.m.)  at Terra Cotta Conservation Area: Visitors can hike or snowshoe on trails lit up by fire and lights every weekend until March 4. One-hour ice skating rink reservations will be available as conditions permit. Equipment will be available to rent on Feb. 4. FRIDAY

Drop-in Family Story Time

Feb. 3  at 10 a.m. at the Gellert Centre, Georgetown.: Join the Halton Hills Public Library staff in exploring new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. No registration is required.

Paint Night in the Glen

Feb. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Glen Williams Town Hall: Join artist Valerie May for a fun evening of creating owls using easy paint and collage techniques on ready-to-hang birch board. No experience required. The cost is $45 per person and all materials are supplied. Those interested can register here. 

SATURDAY

Hurry Hard for Hospice

Feb. 4 starting at 9:30 a.m. at The Club at North Halton, 363 Maple Ave. W., Georgetown: This charity curling event is raising funds for the Townsend Smith Foundation’s goal to build north Halton’s first hospice residence.
Tickets for the event are $100 and cover registration, lunch, two games and door prizes for each person. Those interested can register here.
