Holiday Market
Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at École catholique Sacré-Coeur, 34 Miller Dr., Georgetown: There will be over 20 vendors, a bake sale, raffle table, kids' corner, pictures with Santa, bingo with the Knights of Columbus and more.
Family Storytime
Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. This drop-in program is designed for children up to age six and their caregivers.
Christmas Market and Luncheon
Nov. 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Acton Salvation Army Church: Shop for crafts, books and baked goods before enjoying a soup and sandwich luncheon. Adult meals are $7 and children 10 and under can eat for $4.
Heritage Acton Christmas Market
Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Acton Town Hall Centre: Get a head start on your shopping at the Heritage Acton Christmas Market. The event will feature many local makers and small businesses selling Christmas decor, goodies and gifts.
Acton Santa Claus Parade
Nov. 16 at 1 p.m.: The holiday season kicks off this weekend in Halton Hills with the Acton Santa Claus Parade. It will follow the traditional route that starts near Tim Hortons on Queen Street in Acton, proceeds west toward Main Street, then north to Knox Church. The event is organized by volunteers of the Acton Firefighters Association.
Georgetown Santa Claus Parade
Nov. 16 at 5 p.m.: The tradition continues Saturday evening with the Georgetown Lions Santa Claus Parade. It will travel on a four-kilometre route along Guelph to Mill Street, then Charles Street to the Georgetown Fairgrounds.

Virtual Cooking Class with Chef Shane
Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. online: The Halton Hills Public Library presents a virtual cooking class with Chef Shane Gannon. Kids and families are welcome to join for a fun Saturday night activity, or make it a date night at home and beat inflation!

Rotary Club Online Auction
Ends Nov. 16 at 10 p.m.: There’s still plenty of time to do some online shopping for a good cause. The Rotary Online Auction is on until Saturday at 10 p.m., with over 1,100 items and experiences up for bidding. Visit www.rotaryonlineauction.ca to check out what’s available.
Proceeds will be used for projects like the club’s free monthly community dinners and school scholarships for local high school students, in addition to supporting the local Special Olympics organization, international projects and much more.

Christmas in Georgetown - HandMade Craft Fair
Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Secondary School, Georgetown: This popular annual event features over 80 handmade makers and artisans and swag bags to the first 50 shoppers.
Admission is free, with donations of non-perishable food items welcomed in support of the Georgetown Bread Basket.

Used Book and Jigsaw Puzzle Sale
Nov. 15-17 at Georgetown Market Place: Support the North Halton Kitten Rescue while restocking your bookshelves and puzzle stash.
The sale will run Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. in the corridor in front of Sport Chek.
Adult books will cost $3, while children's books and jigsaw puzzles will have various prices. On Sunday, fill a bag for $10 starting at 2 p.m.
