Wellington County OPP are currently investigating a suspicious fire that occurred early yesterday morning.
On Nov. 13 just after 12:45 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) alongside with the Erin Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on Player Avenue within the Town of Erin.
The fire has been deemed suspicious in nature. The Ontario Fire Marshall's office was notified, and the Major Crime Unit of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police has been engaged.
There are no injuries to report and the house that was damaged was unoccupied.
Police are looking for at least three suspects who fled the area in a black SUV. Members of the public in the following areas of Erin are requested to check their dash cameras and/or CCTV cameras for any suspicious activity between 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Nov. 13: Player Ave., Tenth Line, Dundas St. E., Daniel St., Pine St., and May St.
