FRIDAY
Sonshine and Broccoli in Concert
Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. at the John Elliott Theatre, Georgetown: Get ready to rock out with Juno-nominated duo Sonshine and Broccoli! Sing and dance along to this high-energy, interactive show for kids and families. Tickets are available for free at the John Elliott Theatre box office.
Line Dancing
Oct. 11 starting at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Acton branch: Learn how to line dance with the Urban Cowboy at the local Legion from 7 to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.), followed by open line dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $15 and are available at the door.
Rainbow Film Series: Rosie
Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the John Elliott Theatre, Georgetown: Enjoy a free screening of Rosie as part of the Rainbow Film Series. Rosie (Keris Hope Hill), a young Indigenous girl is sent to live with her aunt Frédérique (Melanie Bray) in Montreal after her mother's death, and learns the value of rebuilding chosen family from Fred and her two-spirit friends Flo (Constant Bernard) and Mo (Alex Trahan). This film is for teens and adults.

Acton Trunk Sale
Oct. 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Acton GO station parking lot: The Rotary Club of Acton’s popular trunk sale is on every Saturday, with this weekend being the last sale of 2024. Shop for a variety of products or become a vendor for $20 cash - no reservations required. Simply show up anytime after 7 a.m.
Georgetown Farmers’ Market
Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in downtown Georgetown: It’s the last Georgetown Farmers’ Market of the season. Shop from a mix of vendors that offer farm produce, culturally diverse food and products, hand-crafted jewelry, soaps, candles and more.
Family Storytime
Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Georgetown and Acton branches: Explore new themes each week through stories, rhymes, and songs. This drop-in program is designed for children up to age six and their caregivers.
Lithophane Printing Family Photos
Oct. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Halton Hills Public Library, Acton branch: Turn your pictures from 2D to 3D using the 3D printer at the library. Bring in a photo on a USB drive or send it to your email and learn how to turn it into a lithophane that can be printed in 3D! Register here.
