Tim Hortons is kicking off the season of giving with a smile.

The chain restaurant is launching its first Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, with all proceeds being split evenly between local charities and Tim Horton Foundation camps.

From Nov. 13 to 19, Links2Care will benefit from the white chocolate chip sugar cookies sold at the Acton and Hwy. 7/22 Sideroad Tim Hortons locations, while the three Georgetown restaurants will support Food4Kids Halton.

"For over 25 years, our guests have enjoyed rallying with us during every Smile Cookie campaign to raise important funds for charities and community groups close to home," said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons.

"We decided there's no better time than the holiday season to continue this tradition in a new way, and we're excited that Holiday Smile Cookies will also support Tim Hortons Foundation camps, which since 1974 has supported over 315,000 youth at its seven Tims camps.”

The first Smile Cookie campaign launched in 1996 and originally raised funds for Hamilton Children's Hospital. Since then, the annual charitable campaign has raised a total of more than $111 million for charities and organizations selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners. Recipients include local hospitals, community care organizations, food banks and schools.
