Amateur photographers itching to have their work recognized, get ready - the Glen Williams Community Association (GWCA) wants to see your best stuff.
The GWCA has launched the Glen Williams Bicentennial Amateur Photo Contest to help the local hamlet celebrate one of its biggest milestones. As the name suggests, the community will be turning 200 in 2025.
To mark the occasion, the contest theme is “honouring history, celebrating community.”
Rules include, but are not limited to:
- Contestants must be residents of Glen Williams
- Photos have to be about the Glen and must have been taken within its boundaries
- No professionals - only amateur shutterbugs
- No computer enhancements.
The contest is broken in four segments, the first of which will come to a close on Dec. 31. Each time slot to submit images is three months long and participants can enter one photo per segment, per category (colour and black and white).
Full contest rules and other celebrations can be found on the Glen Williams Bicentennial website.
