For the first time since 2019, the Downtown Georgetown BIA is bringing back its charity classic car show.
The Rock’n Roll’n Classics Car Show will hit downtown Georgetown on Aug. 26 at 5 p.m. The event is expected to bring 180 classic cars from the Roarin’ '20s to the 1990s, which will be parked and displayed on Main Street South, Mill Street and on other side streets in downtown Georgetown.
“We are so thankful to have the opportunity to share our beautiful downtown with those attending this event,” said BIA manager Nikki Jackson. “This is an excellent opportunity to dine and shop at our businesses and admire the cars on display in such a welcoming community atmosphere.”
Proceeds from a 50/50 draw will go towards the Georgetown Hospital. Door prizes and awards will be part of the gathering as well.
Own a classic car? You can be part of the event by pre-registering here.
Those who register in advance will be guaranteed a spot, with limited day-of spots available. Check-in will take place in the Norval United Church parking lot (14015 Danby Rd.) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the day of the event.
The event's title sponsor is Georgetown Chevrolet Buick GMC, and the entertainment sponsor is Amico.
BIA events manager Bethany Hanman said the show wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of summer students Cam Cherwaiko and Jake Zanth, and the support of the Town of Halton Hills.
