Cameron Ingram stopped 36 of 38 in his Junior debut to lead the Georegetown Raiders to a 3-2 win over the Oakville Blades.

James Wong scored the tying goal in the third period and then the overtime winner as the Georgetown Raiders snapped a seven-game winless skid with a 3-2 win over the Oakville Blades.

Cameron Ingram stopped 36 shots to win his junior debut in Friday’s Ontario Junior Hockey League game.

Ingram, who had been playing for the Halton Hurricanes U18, kept the Raiders in the game early. He faced 20 shots in the opening period but Georgetown only trailed 1-0 heading into the second.

Ben Austin tied it up late in the second but Oakville restored its lead with a powerplay goal with 1:03 to play in the period.

That set the stage for Wong, who tied the game with a powerplay marker 3:43 into the third.

Ingram stopped 14 shots through the third and overtime and Wong scored his team leading 17th goal of the season in the second overtime to give the Raiders the win.

Andrew Robinson had two assists for the Raiders.

The Raiders did not fare as well Saturday at home, losing 6-1 to the Burlington Cougars. Jaxson Cragg scored his first junior goal for the Raiders’ lone marker.

Georgetown travels to Caledon Thursday before returning home to host the Leamington Flyers Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Mold-Masters SportsPlex.
