Josh Currie scored for the Georgetown Raiders in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Milton Menace.

The Milton Menace scored three powerplay goals on its way to a 5-2 win over the Georgetown Raiders Friday.

Milton’s first three goals all came with the man advantage as the Menace built a 4-0 lead in the Ontario Junior Hockey League game.

The Raiders attempted to battle back as Brayden Hartlieb scored his first goal of the season before the end of the second period. Josh Currie then pulled the Raiders within two in the opening minute of the third.

That would be as close as Georgetown would get as Milton added an empty-net goal in the final two minutes to seal the victory.

The Raiders currently sit in seventh place in the OJHL’s West Conference with a record of 15-12-5.

Georgetown wraps up 2024 with three games in four days, all on the road. The Raiders are in Buffalo Friday, Mississauga Saturday and Cobourg Monday.
