On February 11th, Jim passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a brief illness. We take great comfort in knowing Jim is now together again with the love of his life, his beloved wife Margaret Shearer Murray, who predeceased him on December 29th, 2010. Adored father of Alison and her husband Gerard. Dear brother of Helen, Bob, Ross, Terry, John, Linda, and their families. Treasured brother-in-law of Andrew Murray and his wife Barbara. Loved uncle, great uncle, and special friend.

Jim, in his 80th year, was a man who touched many with his warm, witty, selfless, and generous spirit. He deeply loved his family and cherished his time together with us, as we so greatly did with him. Jim's passion for football, gardening and trains are legendary. Jim's calming energy, authenticity, positivity, and rock-steady presence was, and continues to be, a guiding force in our lives-he always looked on the bright side. Jim also brought comfort and compassion to the many people he drove during his years as volunteer for Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh).

Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Brampton Civic Hospital for the exceptional care Jim received during his short stay. A private service for Jim and internment at Greenwood Cemetery has taken place. In memory contributions to CAShh would be appreciated by the family. Gone far too soon, Jim is always and forever in our hearts.
