A Georgetown man has been charged after a purse was stolen from a shopping cart at a local plaza.
Halton Police say around noon on Jan. 19, the purse was taken from the cart while the victim was loading groceries into her vehicle outside Metro on Mountainview Road South.
The suspect fled, but was located by police a short time later in Shoppers Drug Mart.
As a result of the police investigation, Daniel Munzer, 26, of Georgetown was charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
