Halton Regional Police are looking for three suspects after a bank card was stolen in Acton and used to withdraw money from the victim’s account.
Police say as a woman was leaving Giant Tiger shortly after noon on Saturday (Jan. 18), she was followed by two suspects. A third suspect walked in front of the woman, forcing her to stop suddenly. At that point, police say the suspects behind the woman stole the card from her purse.
The bank card was later used to withdraw funds from an ATM, according to police.
Police believe the suspects followed the woman inside the store and watched as she inputted her PIN to pay for items.
The first suspect is described as female, wearing a long light beige jacket, blue surgical mask, black glasses, a beige pink toque, blue jeans, black sneakers with a white sole and a black cross-body purse.
The second suspect is described as male, wearing a blue surgical mask, a black coat, blue jeans and black sneakers. The third suspect was male, wearing a black coat.
