Halton Police make arrest in human trafficking investigation

Paolo Fadul-Gonzalez has been charged in connected with a human trafficking investigation of incidents between 2018 and 2020.

A 27-year-old Toronto man is facing charges following a Halton Regional Police investigation into human trafficking.

Police say the allegations stem from incidents that happened between 2018 and 2020, "where the victim was exploited throughout the Greater Toronto Area."

On Tuesday, Paolo Fadul-Gonzalez was arrested and has been charged with:

  • Trafficking in persons
  • Receive material benefit from sexual services provided by a person
  • Receive material benefit resulting from trafficking in persons 
  • Procuring
  • Advertising for sexual services
  • Fail to comply with probation order.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
