Halton Police seek help IDing woman who used pepper spray during grocery store robbery

Police say the suspect was allegedly observed concealing store merchandise at Fortinos.

Halton Regional Police are appealing to the public for help identifying a female suspect allegedly involved in an Oakville robbery.

On Jan. 6 at approximately 5:50 pm, police say the female suspect attended Fortinos grocery store on Dundas Street West, where she was allegedly observed concealing store merchandise.

"As the loss prevention officer attempted to place the suspect under arrest, the suspect sprayed the loss prevention officer with pepper spray and fled the store," said police in a press release. "Minor physical injuries were sustained."

The female suspect is believed to be in her late 30s, approximately 5’6” tall and 130 pounds with wavy black shoulder-length hair, wearing dark-coloured clothing.
