Halton Regional Police have laid two charges related to liquor sales following an investigation into the business operating at the former Nashville North site in Norval.

Police say they began the investigation after receiving "numerous complaints" from local residents about events happening at the site.

“These events have been taking place regularly in the evening hours of the weekend and have drawn large crowds,” said police in a press release.

“In response, the HRPS has been dedicating additional resources and increased uniform officer presence in the vicinity of the establishment. The HRPS has also been operating increased RIDE programs in the area with community safety being of the utmost importance.”

Richard Marshall, 53, of Brampton has been charged with two counts of unlawfully selling liquor, contrary to the Liquor Licence and Control Act.
