Man threatened, SUV stolen in rural Halton Hills carjacking

Police say suspect followed, then cut off victim's vehicle late Monday afternoon

Halton Regional Police are investigating a carjacking on Eighth Line late Monday afternoon.

Police say around 5:45 p.m. Nov. 4, the male victim was travelling south on Eighth Line north of Steeles Avenue when he was cut off by a black, four-door sedan that had been driving behind him.

According to police, the suspect got out of the car, approached the victim’s vehicle and verbally threatened him. 

Police say the victim’s SUV was then stolen.

No weapons were seen and there were no physical injuries. 

The suspect is described as male, approximately 20 years old, wearing a face covering. 

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
