Halton Regional Police are investigating after five suspects broke into a Georgetown gas station after hours, stealing thousands in cash and cigarettes.
Around 9:50 p.m. Friday (Dec. 27), police say the suspects forced open the front door of the XRT gas station at the corner of Trafalgar Road and Maple Avenue.
Police say the suspects, all wearing dark clothing and face coverings, took over $5,000 in cash and cigarettes and fled the scene in a dark-coloured van.
There were no employees present at the time of the theft.
