A Georgetown man is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped for speeding on Hwy. 10 Saturday.
Around 2 a.m. Jan. 18, Caledon OPP say an officer conducted a stop near Forks of the Credit Road in the Town of Caledon for a Highway Traffic Act violation.
During the interaction with the driver, police say the officer had reason to believe he was impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, a 55-year-old Georgetown man was charged with operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg, speeding and drive vehicle with cannabis readily available.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is to appear in court in Orangeville on Feb. 6.
