HaltonHillsToday, in partnership with the Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS), highlights a special pet in need of adoption every week.
Katniss was brought to the shelter on June 14, 2024. She and her sister Rue were living in a barn that was burned down and abandoned.
We estimate she was born October 10, 2023. Katniss was rescued by a local rescue group, socialized and brought back to health. Once Katniss and Rue were spayed and vaccinated, they were brought to Upper Credit to find a forever home.
Katniss loves to play is very curious. She enjoys the company of other cats and can be a little shy, but since being at the shelter, Katniss has made really amazing progress. She will roll around and rub up against our staff for affection and rubs.
