Cogeco has come through big for United Way Halton & Hamilton.
The company raised $184,369 through its annual United Way campaign organized by its employees, with Cogeco matching $0.50 on all donations.
“We are pleased to hold our annual United Way campaign, profoundly impacting the communities we serve. It’s in our DNA to give back and support our communities, and help those most vulnerable access the programs and services they need," said Matt Wickham, vice president and general manager, customer experience and B2B at Cogeco.
"Our employees are extremely proud of their results and to make a positive impact in the communities in which they live, work, and play."
Cogeco was the prime sponsor of Toronto Rock’s game last weekend and the partner for the teddy bear toss. Audience members brought bears to throw on the field or could purchase them onsite. Over 2,000 bears were collected and donated to United Way to be distributed to those in need this holiday season.
“We thank Cogeco and their employees for their ongoing, gracious support to help ensure local agencies can continue providing essential programs and services," said Brad Park, president and CEO of United Way Halton & Hamilton. "All of us at the United Way truly appreciate their dedication to our communities."
