A Georgetown man is facing impaired driving charges after being stopped Thursday evening.

A citizen complaint has led to a Georgetown man being charged with impaired driving. 

On Thursday (July 11), shortly before 6 p.m., Halton Police responded to the call about a possible impaired driver in Georgetown. Police located and stopped the vehicle on Mountainview Road South near Sargent Road. 

As a result of its investigation a 64-year-old Georgetown man was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
