It's almost time for Halton Hills residents to pay their respects to those who lost their lives serving our country.
Remembrance Day ceremonies across the community will span three days, beginning Saturday.
The Acton Remembrance Day parade and service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9. The parade will start at The Hide House in Acton at 10:15 a.m. and will proceed down Mill Street to the Acton Cenotaph in front of Trinity United Church.
Following the service there will be a dinner at the Acton Legion, 15 Wright Ave. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the bar at the Legion.
The Glen Williams Remembrance Day parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10 at Glen Williams Public School and follow Main Street to the cenotaph, at the corner of Confederation and Main Street. The service will start at 11 a.m.
The Georgetown parade will be held Sunday afternoon, beginning at 1:30 p.m. The parade will start at the Georgetown Legion, 127 Mill St., and will follow Mill Street to Charles Street, and then proceed to Remembrance Park, where the service will get underway at 2 p.m.
Both Acton and Georgetown will also hold ceremonies on Nov. 11, beginning at 10:45 a.m. at their respective cenotaphs.
