Health Canada recalls Guelph-made vape products

Two products are impacted for not meeting labelling requirements

Two Guelph-made vape products have been recalled by Health Canada for not meeting labelling requirements.

The products recalled are Crystal E-Liquid Unflavoured 50 mL e-Liquid bottles and Crystal E-Liquid RY4 Double Tobacco 62.5 mL e-Liquid bottles, sold between June and October 2024.

Both were sold from E-Cigz Vapour shop on 86 Gordon St., and made by manufacturer Crystal E-Liquids at the same address.

According to a notice from Health Canada, eight affected products were sold.

“Vaping substances containing nicotine present a poisoning risk if they are ingested,” the notice states. “Inappropriate labelling can lead to unintentional exposure to the product and cause serious illness or injuries, including death.”

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and dispose of them.

As of Oct. 30, the company hadn’t received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
