Hundreds of local residents hit the streets of Halton Hills Saturday evening for a good cause.
The Coldest Night of the Year charity walk saw participants walk either two or five kilometres in Georgetown and Acton to raise money for local non-profits.
At publication time, the Georgetown edition of the event had brought in around $59,000 for Links2Care and the Georgetown Bread Basket.
Meanwhile, Acton hosted its first official version of the walk in support of the Roxy Centre and surpassed its $20,000 fundraising goal, with more than $28,000 donated.
