If you noticed plenty of firefighter activity in Glen Williams this week, don't worry - it wasn't an ongoing emergency.
Halton Hills Fire Department crews have spent the week honing their swift water rescue skills with training in the Credit River.
The firefighters set up shop in the Glen to rescue mock victims with rescue rings, a throw line and their inflated RDC (rapid deployment craft), as well as practice their medical skills by immobilizing mock injured victims in the water, all while wearing specialized rescue wet suits.
