Man allegedly pulls knife during argument in Georgetown

Halton Police charge 41-year-old with assault with a weapon

A Hamilton man is facing charges after allegedly pulling out a knife during an argument in Georgetown.

Around 10:35 p.m. Monday, police say two men got into an argument in the area of John and McNabb streets. 

At one point during the dispute, one of the men allegedly pulled out a knife.

As a result, Halton Police have charged William Thompson, 41, with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

No injuries were reported.

Thompson was released on an undertaking with a court date set for Aug. 12 in Milton.
