A Georgetown business that opened this year is in new hands and ready to pamper its clients.
Nails2Love owner Trang Hoang, who took over from the previous owner a week ago, is already considering ways to differentiate her Guelph Street business from other salons.
“The thing I want to change is customer service,” Hoang said. “If you’re being nice to your customers, they will be nice to you. So I treat customers like I treat myself.”
Walking into her shop, local residents will find comfy chairs and foot baths to the left and several nail workstations to the right. Manicures, pedicures, nail art and different types of artificial nails are all part of the deal.
Other services include waxing - whether eyebrows, legs or a Brazilian - eyelash extensions and more.
At the back of shop, one will find something resembling a toaster oven. This is a heater for hot stones and towels, which are meant to enhance the customer's experience.
Hoang said she has noticed that different nail services are popular with different age groups. Younger clients often bring their social media inspirations for Nails2Love’s workers to replicate while the older crowd goes for more traditional styles.
“The teenagers, when they come they usually ask for the artificial nails. Mostly they do UV gel or acrylic,” Hoang said. “For the men, or the couples, who are middle-aged they do biogel or a pedicure/manicure.”
Hoang says she absolutely fell in love with Georgetown when visiting a friend of hers. Having worked in Mississauga, studied in Toronto and lived in her hometown of Vinh in Vietnam, the local tranquility pushed her to put roots down in town.
When the chance to work in Georgetown presented itself, and to be her own boss, she took the plunge.
“I wanted to open my own business because I like to live in Georgetown. It is very beautiful here,” she said.
Once in place, Hoang started making the business in her own image with new tables for the nail technicians and more.
