Town of Halton Hills radar speed signs in rural areas were vandalized this week.

Halton Regional Police are investigating the vandalism of multiple radar speed signs owned by the Town of Halton Hills.

Halton Police say they were contacted by the Town on Thursday (July 25), though the timing of the damage is unknown. All of the radar signs, which tell drivers how fast they're going, were located in rural areas.

Police say a radar sign on 5 Sideroad, east of Sixth Line had its wires cut and the screen was spray painted. A sign on Fourth Line between 10 and 15 Sideroads also had its screen spray painted.

According to police, two other signs had their wood posts cut down on Fourth Line between 5 and 10 Sideroads - one on the east side of the road facing northbound traffic and one on the west side facing southbound traffic.

No suspect descriptions are currently available and no arrests have been made yet. The investigation is ongoing.
