Owen McNamara scored twice in the Georgetown Raiders' 4-0 win over the King Rebellion Saturday. The Raiders' pink jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for Cancer Assistance Halton Hills following Wednesday's game. Bids can be placed online.

Michael Newlove stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Georgetown Raiders rebounded from their first loss of the month.

Coming on the heels a 7-3 loss to the Burlington Cougars Friday that snapped the Raiders’ Ontario Junior Hockey League winning streak at five games, Newlove recorded his second shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over the King Rebellion Saturday.

Owen McNamara scored twice for the Raiders and John Mitchell had a goal and an assist. Those two staked the Raiders to a 2-0 first-period lead. It stayed that way until Justin Huynh’s powerplay goal with 5:33 to play in the third. McNamara sealed the win with an empty-net goal.

Andrew Robinson had two assists after seeing his nine-game point streak come to an end in Burlington. He leads all OJHL rookie defencemen in scoring with 24 points in 26 games.

Georgetown jumped out to a 2-0 in Burlington, only to have the Cougars respond with six straight goals.

Aiden Lee, Jayden Levesque and Nolan Keeler scored for Georgetown.

The Raiders, who have won five straight at home, play their next two games at the Mold-Masters SportsPlex, beginning with a matchup with the Oakville Blades Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be part of the Raiders’ Pink in the Rink fundraiser for Cancer Assistance Halton Hills. The Raiders are holding a jersey auction with bidding closing following Wednesday’s game. Bids can be placed online

The Raiders then host Collingwood Saturday, a homecoming for Georgetown native Noah Tegelaar, who was named the OJHL’s goalie of the month in October. Tegelaar leads the league with five shutouts and ranks second with a 1.49 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage.
