Christian Lynch made 35 saves for his first OJHL shutout in the Georgetown Raiders' 5-0 win over Mississauga.

Christian Lynch made 35 saves for his first junior shutout as the Georgetown Raiders earned a weekend split with a 5-0 win over Mississauga in Saturday’s Ontario Junior Hockey League game.

James Wong scored twice and Brayden Hartlieb had a goal and an assist for the Raiders, who improved to 16-13-5.

Douglas Mitchell and Wong scored 45 seconds apart in the first period and Hartlieb extended Georgetown’s lead with a goal late in the second period.

Nolan Keeler made it 4-0 midway through the third and Wong got his second goal, his team-leading 15th of the season, on the powerplay to wrap up the scoring.

Justin Huynh had two assists for the Raiders.

With the shutout, Lynch improved to 3-2-1 on the season.

The Raiders dropped a 4-1 decision to Buffalo on Friday. Wong had Georgetown’s only goal.

The Raiders will wrap up 2024 with a game in Cobourg on Monday.
