25 June, 1941 – 27 January, 2025

It is with both comfort and sadness that we announce the passing of John (Jack) Albert Jupp, on January 27, 2025.

Jack was born on June 25, 1941, in Naicam, Saskatchewan. Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Houlton), his daughters; Kimberly Porty, and Jennifer Jupp, and his sister, Joan Marushak. Jack was preceded by his son Kelly, and his parents; Harold & Eva Jupp. Jack was father-in-law to Paul Porty, Dell Mohammed; grandfather to Jonathan Porty & his wife Amanda Wray; Christopher Porty & his fiancée Nirubaa Jesuthasan; Rishad Mohammed, Darren Mohammed, and Kailin Porty. Jack was great-grandfather to Sawyer Porty, Paisley Porty, and Maya Porty. Jack was loved and well-liked by many relatives and friends.

Jack was an outdoorsman, who liked to fish, hunt, and walk in the woods with his beloved black labrador. He enjoyed puttering around his workshop, tinkering with small engines, and fishing from his boat.

Jack spent a lot of hours at the arena, either watching a hockey game of his son’s or his grandchildren or picking up the neighborhood kids for an early morning scrimmage game. Jack retired from the Ontario Jockey Club in 2006. Jack previously built custom-made furniture alongside his wife, at The Woodery.

Jack is finally reunited with his son, and they are fishing on heaven’s shores.

The family would like to extend a huge “Thank You” to all staff and residents at the Bennett Centre, which is where Jack resided during his final years. Memorial donations may be made to the Bennett Village. https://bennettvillage.ca/bennett-centre-long-term-care/

Cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

If others wonder, why I’m missin’ – simply tell ‘em I’ve gone fishin’
