On Friday February 14, 2025,at his home in Georgetown, we lost our beloved Paul in his 42nd year. Paul fought valiantly over the past 4 ½ years with SAMs disease, and stroke, making amazing gains while dealing with so many physical and mental limitations.
Most loved and cherished partner of 18 years, Melissa. Devoted father of Leo and step-father of Selena and Jonathan. Beloved son of Andrea and Manfred Schiller and son-in-law of Sharon and Earl McMasters. Dearest brother of Matt (Denis) and Chris (Rebecca) and brother-in-law of Stacey, and Candace (Bob). Great nephew to Frank and May Armstrong. He was the beloved nephew of Brent (Rina) and Peter. Fondly remembered by his cousins Jake (Cassandra), Grant, Laura (J.R.) , Steve (Cherish). Jenna (John), Will (Morgan). Paul was dearly loved by his many nieces and nephews: Wyatt, Evelyn, Lilly, Cody, Paige and Maddison.
Paul loved sports and cheered for his Blue Jays and Leafs passionately! He was always there throughout Leo’s baseball years with support and guidance. His gift for writing and filmmaking was evidenced by the movie he and his brother Chris premiered at the Independent Film Festival in Toronto. He loved cinema in all its forms and shared this love with Chris since childhood. He was a gifted guitar player and loved music- playing in bands and teaching guitar.
Paul will be remembered for his zest for life, his determination and love of family and of course his special sense of humour!
Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Sunday February 23, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Society would be greatly appreciated.
